| Corey became the Senior Pastor of
ESBC in 2003. He and his wife Jamie have been married
for 15 years and they have 2 children and 1 cat.
Corey is originally from Southern Idaho, and before
that Northern California. Jamie is originally from
the Oregon Coast. Corey leads East Side with a passion
to see the church grow spiritually and numerically. |

| Corey's style of communication is
straightforward and relational. He generally teaches
verse by verse and chapter by chapter through books
of the Bible, but on occasion mixes it up with topical
and thematic sermon series. |

| Corey brings to his ministry at ESBC
a passion to see the church be relevant in today's
culture. This passion is born out of his leadership
experiences in youth ministry in Idaho, collegiate
ministry in Idaho and Oregon, and church planting
ministry in Washington and Oregon. His vision is
to see the church take ministry to the next level,
so more and more people might know the awesome life
of Christ. Corey also taught subjects like Personal
Finance, Math, and Bible at a local Christian High
School before coming to ESBC. |

| In addition to leading at East Side,
Corey serves and has served in a variety of denominational
roles. He is currently the Resource Network Leader
and Collegiate Ministry Contact for the Willamette
Valley Baptist Association. Corey has served as
a member of the Northwest Baptist Convention's Executive
Board. He served as the 2008 President of the Northwest
Baptist Convention's Annual Pastor/Layman Conference.
He has served several times as the Camp Pastor for
the Oregon Baptist Children's Summer Camp. Previously,
he was also the Regional Recruiter for the Pacific
Northwest Campus of Golden Gate Baptist Theological
Seminary as well as the Dean of Men at Lifegate
Christian School. |

| Corey earned a B.S. Finance from
the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID in 1996 and
a Masters of Divinity from the Pacific Northwest
Campus of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
in Vancouver, WA in 2000. Corey is currently a doctoral
candidate at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. |
