VBS Closing Program

What an awesome week of VBS aboard the Boomerang Express.  I want to thank all the volunteers for such an incredible job.  You helped kids love God, care about people, and share Jesus! Our closing program packed out the house and I counted at least 230 people there last night, many to most of them not even regulars around East Side.  What a great week of outreach and fun!

VBS 2009 Boomerang Express

Wow! This week has been incredible so far.  I am truly amazed by the effort and joy of our VBS volunteers.  They’ve made this year’s Boomerang Express a great event for both children and adults.  We’ve had 80-90 kids each day so far with 92 registered.  I just wanted to say what a true blessing it is to partner together at East Side to change lives.  I’m looking forward to the closing program on Friday night…it’s going to be awesome!  Here are a few pictures of some of the pretty creative stuff our leaders came up with for set design and decor.
