Church I have to give a shout out to Dan…he is the man! Dan is our Creative Arts Director and he’s cranked out some awesome sets for our ELEVATE program. ELEVATE is our Sunday morning program for K-5th grade kids during second service. The set changes every 8 weeks and Dan has the primarily responsibility of getting the sets built out in time. Of course, he has some awesome help as well, particularly from Ramon…that guy’s the man too! Here are some pictures from the new set…Shipwrecked!

Church Last week we wrapped up “Wednesdays In The Park” for the summer…what a blast. Thanks to everyone who joined us for at least one of the weeks…it was a great time of fun and fellowship. Here are a few pictures from the BBQ and Phil wrapping up our teaching series on “Jesus Outdoors” from the Sermon on the Mount.

Church I thought I’d post some pictures from August 23rd of our TNL (the NEXT level) Pep Rally. We let out of second service early (just like a pep rally back in High School days!) and went out to the ball field where the new building will be constructed. Fred and some of the guys had marked off the actual dimensions and layout of the building to give people a sense of scale. It was awesome to get a little bit of a feel for how worship would be in the new worship center. We gave folks an update on the building process, sang a few songs, and spent some time in prayer. That morning I had taught on the simplicity and sweetness of The Lord’s Prayer (or perhaps more appropriately, The Disciple’s Prayer) from Matthew 6:9-13 …so we all prayed it together in unison.
This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.’”
